John Scott joined Apex Health Innovations in 2012. He is an industry-leading expert with over 25 years of experience in developing innovating technology solutions to solve real-world business problems.
Prior to Apex Health Innovations, John founded APEX Evangelists, a specialized software technology firm providing consultancy services focused around the Oracle Database platform to a variety of clients across a broad spectrum of global industries, including technology, finance, biopharmaceutical, and military and government organizations, for close to 10 years.
John is a recognized industry expert and accomplished author on the Oracle Application Express (APEX) technology. He holds the coveted Oracle ACE Director position, bestowed by Oracle Corporation, and was awarded the APEX Developer of the Year award by Oracle Magazine in 2008. He has given multiple podium presentations and participated in expert panels at global technology conferences such as the Oracle Openworld, ODTUG, IOUG and UKOUG conferences over the past decade.
John holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Sheffield, UK.
In his spare time, John enjoys amateur Astronomy and has a keen interest in Physics (which comes in handy with a 4-year-old son who wants to know the answer to everything). He has experienced 7 earthquakes, a forest fire, and a plague of rats. John also has a habit of standing in the slowest lane at any given airport immigration queue.
